Only one star because there was no other way I could post. I arrived before closing time and they said that they were closed. We arrived at 5:50 pm.
Ole place i us to eat at as a kid. It does not taste the same. Trust me
that old asian man working there is so rude omg, it was my first time trying so im asking questions about their food and he’s acting like im stupid for asking those questions and being super rude so i definitely took my business elsewhere, dont need that type of negativity in my stomach.
The hamburger was just ok. The fries weren't that great
I got the Bacon Cheeseburger Basket, and the burger was very good. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fries, despite being freshly hot, weren't as good as I had hoped they would be, but I also dont like my fries fried hard, which they were. They put onion rings in my bag too, but I'm not sure of that's a part of the basket, or they just added some since it was my first time there. I would definitely go back for the burger.
Went at around 5:30PM older man took order. Got my order and I opened thw bag when I got home. Burger meat was excessively dry with no salt, buns were all wrinkled. Fries were cold and dry, onion rings were also cold and nasty. I highly recommend that you get referrals to eating places from known individuals. I will NOT recommend this place at all. It was a disgusting experience. Be careful where you choose to eat and I have learned not to trust everyone's review.
I remember this place back in the mid 70s. The original owners were from Greece. One night when he was closing, a couple of kids went to the door as he closed. The owner was shot and robbed. He was left on the ground as the 2 thieves ran off. He died of his injuries. The family sold the place and moved on. He was a good man. He was always smiling, greeting everyone. So sad this place has gone down. May he rest in peace
After seeing the pictures and the reviews I was hopeful I had found yet another amazing hole in the wall. (Something houston has in abundance) the promise of handmade onion rings and quality foods had my mouth watering. Unfortunately the only good thing was the service. The food taste frozen and uninspired, nothing about any of it was really great. It's a cash only establishment, a fact that should be advertised on something bigger than a standard computer printout. If you are broke and need food regardless of the quality then dairy maid is your place. Nothing is over 10$ and the food comes out quickly.....prob because its not handmade. However for the price, speed, and service, it can be a nice first date spot for the financially strapped or a good meal for someone who calls the outside world their home. This place has a lot of potential so I really hope they work on...everything. I'd like to come back and be at best mildly pleased. Also..what's with the A+ food safety rating from 2017....I doubt they still hold that A+
